ON BOARD ATTENDANT: If you enjoy an energetic, fun job working on the water, look no further!
The Victoria Clipper is a high-speed, passenger-only catamaran ferry service that runs daily
service between Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, as well as to the San Juan
Islands. We operate year round, with a very busy peak season from April through October.
We are hiring full time, seasonal (summer) On Board Attendants beginning now through May. Our
On Board Attendant positions allow you to enjoy a fun-loving, rewarding and challenging job,
working on the water and meeting lots of new friends. On Board Attendants are our direct customer
service representatives who serve our passengers at the highest levels and are well compensated.
They assist with passenger comfort and safety; food and beverage service; gift shop, duty free and
tour sales; luggage handling; and limited mariner duties.
Enjoy the beautiful destinations of Victoria, British Columbia and the San Juan Islands of
the great Pacific Northwest. Be home every night! All shifts begin and end at Pier 69 in Seattle.
In addition, add a new skill to your resume! On Board Attendants receive training, at company
expense, to qualify for and obtain a Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Seatime gained while sailing on board can be used to upgrade your MMD credential.
Our On Board Attendants are paid on a progressive pay schedule, plus commissions. Average
earnings are $10.75/hr, which is $8.50/hour, plus commissions and tips. Upon completion of the Deck
Training Manual, an additional $.50/hour is paid to employees retroactive from their hire date.
Additionally, we provide a parking stipend of up to $100/month. Those who become year round
employees receive full benefits after three calendar months.
Since customer service and safety are priorities with the Victoria Clipper, we are looking
for applicants who are 19 years old or older, possess exceptional customer service skills, are able
to lift 70 lb. and are friendly and outgoing.
