The Victoria Clipper is a high-speed, passenger-only catamaran ferry service that runs daily service between Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, as well as to the San Juan Islands. We operate year round, with a very busy peak season from April through October.

We are hiring full time, seasonal (summer) On Board Attendants beginning now through May. Our On Board Attendant positions allow you to enjoy a fun-loving, rewarding and challenging job, working on the water and meeting lots of new friends. On Board Attendants are our direct customer service representatives who serve our passengers at the highest levels and are well compensated. They assist with passenger comfort and safety; food and beverage service; gift shop, duty free and tour sales; luggage handling; and limited mariner duties.

Enjoy the beautiful destinations of Victoria, British Columbia and the San Juan Islands of the great Pacific Northwest. Be home every night! All shifts begin and end at Pier 69 in Seattle.

In addition, add a new skill to your resume! On Board Attendants receive training, at company expense, to qualify for and obtain a Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) from the U.S. Coast Guard. Seatime gained while sailing on board can be used to upgrade your MMD credential.

Our On Board Attendants are paid on a progressive pay schedule, plus commissions. Average earnings are $10.75/hr, which is $8.50/hour, plus commissions and tips. Upon completion of the Deck Training Manual, an additional $.50/hour is paid to employees retroactive from their hire date. Additionally, we provide a parking stipend of up to $100/month. Those who become year round employees receive full benefits after three calendar months.

Since customer service and safety are priorities with the Victoria Clipper, we are looking for applicants who are 19 years old or older, possess exceptional customer service skills, are able to lift 70 lb. and are friendly and outgoing.

Port Engineer

Job Description: Clipper Navigation Inc. operates a fleet of three high speed vessels year round between Seattle and Victoria, B.C. The Port engineer is a management position responsible for the repair and maintenance of vessels and facility. This includes development of budgets, repair specifications, contractor selection, contract management and interfacing with regulatory agencies. 
Responsibilities include:
·         Tracking and renewing of all vessel documents.
·         Coordinating and scheduling regulatory surveys and inspections.
·         Oversight of all aspects of annual shipyard overhaul periods.
·         Scheduling planned and unplanned maintenance and repair.
·         Tracking and documenting all maintenance.
·         On call for emergency situations involving vessels or facility.
·         Hiring and training engineering personnel.
·         Development of annual operating budgets.
·         Maintaining facility and docks.
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years experience in the marine engineering field. USCG Engineering license.
