Seattle Space Needle TourVisit a great Northwest landmark
See unparalleled views of the entire northwest from the observation level of the futuristic Seattle Space Needle. From 520 feet above the ground, you will see Seattle’s entire metropolis including EMP (rumored to look like a smashed guitar from above), the Smith Tower, the Columbia Tower, the Olympic and Cascade Mountains including Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker, Elliott Bay and even islands. Your admission includes access to the observation deck and a free digital download from the SpaceShots Photography Department. The Space Needle turns 50!In 2012, the Space Needle will be celebrating 50 years in Seattle since it opened for the World’s Fair in 1962. The Needle was originally called The Space Cage and was painted an olive green, and although the revolving restaurant has been there since the Needle opened, the SkyLine Level wasn’t added until 1982, even though it was part of the original plan. Chihuly Garden and GlassAlso in 2012, Chihuly Garden and Glass will open featuring many of Seattle artist Dale Chihuly’s most popular works as well as new pieces. The attraction will feature a large pavilion and garden, a glass house, a bookstore and the Collection Café and is scheduled to open in May. |
